CLADDING AND ROOFLINE
EXTERNAL CLADDING
Cladding has been growing in popularity in the UK year on year, predominantly driven by the increase in cement fibre installations. It can be used to both replace rotting or discoloured timber or offer a low-maintenance and weather resistant alternative to concealing deteriorating plasterwork or problem areas of brickwork. In short it is an extremely cost effective way of giving your house a completely new look.
Alongside the age-old uPVC cladding is now the more modern cement fibreboard. Cement fibreboard is a mixture of cement, organic fillers and water that combine to create a cement plank. It has been tested to stand up to the harshest conditions, offers a class 0 fire performance and is immune to pests and insects. It needs no painting for around 10 years and therefore in comparison to wood requires far less upkeep.
Cladding, both uPVC and cement fibre comes in a variety of different colours and is usually fitted with accompanying trims in either plastic or powder coated aluminium to finish off the job beautifully.
SOFFITS & FASCIAS
Soffits and fascias are essential components of most domestic properties. Often unnoticed and overlooked until too late, rotten timber soffits and fascias can spoil the look of your house and lead to expensive damage in your loft space and to the rafters caused by exposure to the elements.
Quality soffits and fascias manufactured using uPVC will protect your property and preserve its value. They will enhance the appearance; reduce maintenance to a minimum and negate completely the need to repaint the wooden alternative at regular intervals.
Our preferred choice when installing roofline is to replace what you have as opposed to capping over what is there. We are happy to quote for both but please bear in mind that capping over a rotten fascia may do little good over time. Although our preferred method takes considerably longer, requires better access and is a lot messier, we feel it provides the best finish and ensures we have the opportunity to check on the condition of your roofing timber prior to covering them up again.
More and more colours and styles of soffit and fascias are available, although white is by far the least expensive option available. As standard we install eaves protection system, overhead vents and birdguard to stop unwanted birds or vermin from entering your roof space.
GUTTERING
Guttering is available in all colours and styles including Ogee, square and round.
